Transient forever in temporary homes,

I travel as far as I can in this world
in my mind in front of the screen.
Shadowy past-life companions come along,
play music for beer and caffeine.
From the fog of Brisbane to Darlinghurst nights,
roadwork slows us down.
We inch past the Pacific Motorway lights,
